can you hear me now?

so lasterwhile morning, i got to go visit the nice people at texas children's hospital to see if my ears are working right (my teacher is all suspicious that they aren't.) so we got there and i played with the fish and the toys while mom colored or drew or whatever she was doing with all the pieces of paper. after a while a nice lady came and led us to teh back and let me play with a toy pig and elephant. she even let me use a special little flashlight to check their ears. then it was my turn, and to be honest, other than the having to hold still bits, it wasn't so bad. so after looking in my ears and taking pictures of my ears, she said that although the pig and elephant have fine hearing, my ears look all stopped up and fluidy, so i got to go play a game!
i basically sat in a room and got to listen to noises. if i looked in the direction of the noise these little toy animals would play drums or bark or whatever. if i looked the wrong direction they did nothing. so yeah. apparentish, i missed a munch of the noises, though and get to visit with my p.d.attrition to discuss the results and figure out what to do with all my extra ear fluids.
all for now.

unappealing

so lasterday i was standing in the big grocery cart at h.e.b. supervising our fruit selections when suddenly i looked down at the most scrumptious looking banana in the history of bananas. it was the perfect hand hold-ish size. i had to have it. now!
so i took a bite. straight into the bright yellow banana skin. which if you have not tried i do not recommend. first off, the outside of a banana is not the flavor it's smells would suggest. secondly, you don't get to eat it right then, you have to wait until mom takes it to the counter and pays for it. and last and most important, if you hand select your snack while still shopping, then you get confined to the sitting part of the cart and have to spend the rest of your trips facing backwards.
so now you know.

goodness

so lasterday, we had easter out on the sport fields by our church, which sounded like a good idea, except for the whole weather channel severe thunderstorm/possibility of hail thing. it's okay though, cause our pastor asked everyone to pray for good weather, and so there was.
which was nice, not being hailed on and such.
it did start raining right after church, though. but at least it wasn't all hot during church. hmm, maybe next year we should print out church ponchos for the occasion.

boys are messy

so lasterwhile, when me and mom and dad and chris went for a walk, we decided to stop and let chris have an ice cream cone...which although it was clearly demonstrated as an in the mouth item, chris managed to get it on his shirt, forehead and chin, as well as in drippys on the floor and in several dramatic splotches on his cheeks.
lesson learned?
boys are messy.

easter week picnic

so earlier-ish, while i was outside, we did something that was not on the schedule. we came inside after recess and did NOT have our snack. instead we got our backpacks (even though it was not going home time) and lines up and took our lunches outside for a special easter picnic. mom and kylee and lots of other mom type peoples showed up as well, and we all sat down and ate our lunches and drank our sippie cups, which was nice. then we had cookies cause it was our teacher helper ladies birthday. which was nice. the cookies, i mean.
i also brought her a flower bunch for her birthday...which started off with eight flowers...but two were sad and broken looking...so we brought six pink tulips to school...but only two survived the walk in. which i suppose was good enough because miss anne-marie seemed to likes them anyway. anyway...after the birthday cookies, we were supposed to find the easter eggs, which was too easy, so i decided to hit them with a stick instead. i also re-hid one of the eggs by throwing it into the locked part of the playground. which in all fairness was the only egg no one could find by the end of the hunt. all in all it was pretty funnish.

lost!

lost: one dozen light blue highly chewable pacifiers. both comforting and tasty, last seen lasterday morning in my bed next to my blue blankie. will be sorely missed and are my personals, with little intrinsic value other than the love i have for them.
reward offered...although i suspect mom and dad are in cahoots with the kidnappers, so i doubt i will ever see them again...am thinking about going on a sleep strike, to try to wear them down, but i kind of doubt it will work.
